Colin Sahlman, a freshman at Northern Arizona and Newbury Park graduate, reflects on younger brother Aaron Sahlman winning the boys individual championship as a senior at Nike Cross Nationals at Glendoveer Golf Course in Oregon. Colin shared the same spikes with Aaron that he wore last year to triumph at the Garmin RunningLane Championships in Alabama. Aaron covered the 5-kilometer layout in 14:44.5 to become the second individual winner in program history, along with Nico Young in 2019. Aaron also helped Newbury Park capture its second NXN team title, including the 2019 crown, with a boys record-low 66 points.
