Senior Tommy McDonnell and sophomore Aaron Cantu took the top two spots for Newbury Park Athletic Club in the boys unattached/club championship 5-kilometer race at the 14th annual Desert Twilight Festival at The Links at Queen Creek in San Tan Valley, Arizona. McDonnell clocked 15:56.73 and Cantu ran 16:23.57 for Newbury Park, which was edged by a 45-51 margin by Great Oak, competing as South Temecula Track Club.
