Newbury Park XC is only the third program in California in the 16-year history of Nike Team Nationals and Nike Cross Nationals to have both girls and boys clubs competing at the meet in the same season, joining Temecula XC, which has achieved the feat for the fifth year in a row, and Dana Point XC in 2008. Hailey Golmon, Archana Mohandas, Gretchen Slattum, Fiona Hawkins, Sam McDonnell, Ailish Hawkins and Hannah Round are scheduled to compete for Newbury Park XC, one of three California girls groups selected, along with Clovis XC and Temecula XC.
