Senior Daniel Appleford and Junior Hector Martinez crossed the line in 15:11.5 and 15:15.1 to help place six Newbury Park runners in the top ten in the boys California state division 1 final at Woodward Park in Fresno. The Newbury Park boys scored a state meet record 16 points en route to their 3rd consecutive state title, previously winning back to back titles in division 2 before moving up to division 1. To go along with that they also ran the fastest team time ever running 73:22.7 to lower their own previous record time which was set at the Clovis Invitational earlier this year.
